What is more reminiscent of summer than the golden glow of a sunflower? The sunflower is a popular plant, famous for seeking the sun and its vibrant yellow and orange petals. The sunflower was one of the first flowers I have ever made, and I can say with confidence that it will always be my favourite. I love the process of making them – making and colouring each individual petal, poking every dot in the centre of the flower, everything.
Sunflowers have developed many meanings in the modern age, but those that stand out to me include feelings of positivity and strength, brightening your mood through the vibrancy of its petals, and good luck and lasting happiness. Sunflower Necklace
Our sunflower necklaces are handcrafted down to every petal, individually dusted with a rich terracotta coloured powder. I love keeping their natural matte surface, to focus on the rich orange and gold colour of the sunflower. I designed the sunflowers to have a silver chain, as opposed to a gold one, to accentuate the vibrant colours of the pendant.
